Collecting

Every invoice arrives with a pay button

When paying the first invoice, your customer saves their card. From then on FinBaze charges each new invoice on its due date.

  • Set up once by your customer, on the first invoice
  • Every payment is matched to the right invoice automatically
  • If a charge fails, the invoice is reopened

Changes

The contract changes, your history stays put

A customer takes on more, less, or leaves. You change the lines, set an end date or stop future invoices. Invoices already sent and paid stay exactly as they were.

  • Change lines and amounts from the next period
  • Set an end date or stop future invoices
  • Past invoices stay untouched in your books

Revenue in the right month

Invoicing, booking and getting paid each have their own date

Sometimes you invoice after you've done the work, and your customer pays later still. FinBaze keeps those dates apart, so your profit shows what you earned that month.

Invoice date

The date your customer sees. Your VAT return and payment terms follow this date.

Booking date

The month the revenue lands in your P&L. The same as the invoice date, or moved to the month the work was done.

Payment date

When the money arrives. That changes your bank balance, not last month's profit.

Period on the invoice

Put "1–31 October" on the invoice, so your customer sees what they're paying for.
